Product Description
“The transformation of probation in Europe” was written because the authors felt the need to contribute to the training of the department of correctional affairs’ staff and specifically those working in the field of external criminal enforcement, but also as an aid to university students wishing to work in probation, both internally and internationally. This book contains the full text and commentary on the recent Recommendation R.(2010)1 European rules on probation, integrated by a summary of the European Rules on probation, R. (92) 16, and the United Nations Standard Minimum Rules for Non-custodial Measures (The Tokyo Rules of 14 December 1990). The Authors’ aim is to help the reader in understanding the individual European rules and the transformation of probation that has taken place in the last fifty years in Europe and to favour discussion among those interested, experts and scholars of probation in Italy.
